Our Pack-house,
Cold-Storage and Shipping Crew
forms up for each season
beginning in our late summer (early February.) Harvest, packing, storage
and shipping continue throughout the remaining summer months and finish up late
autumn around the end of June each year.
New for us in 2008 is our participation as a Recognised Seasonal Employer.
This is a New Zealand government initiative
working in partnership with Pacific Islands and NZ employers. This
programme allows us to recruit seasonal labour from selected Pacific islands in
an attempt to remove the uncertainty associated with the large casual labour
requirements of harvesting our crops.
