We remove
unprofitable varieties, low yielding blocks and old trees.
Once removed, the trees are burned and the ground
is prepared for replacement with new tree planting.
New varieties and growing systems are developed
exclusively in New Zealand and protected by international patents.
Younger trees on specialised rootstocks allow us to
grow better quality fruit at less costs and we have a continual programme of
renewal in our orchards.
